This is a song I love listening to on headphones. Besides the wonderful playing, there seems to be some sort of shifting from left to right in terms of volume. I'm new to many aspects of home recording, so I was wondering if anyone could explain what sort of technique they used on this song (it happens to be a song I'm learning, and it's proving to be quite the challenge!) thanks.
 
I haven't heard it in a while, but I'm thinking it's flanging, the old school finger on the reel kind, with panning.
