A friend just borrowed me his L500xl... It will soon be in the bridge position of my handbuilt LP... can't wait....

And.. btw. How do I know this is a real BL, and not a stewmac?
 
Congrats on that one. The absolutely greatest pup ever made!!! It has a killer sound.
I have one in an Epi Les Paul, and it sounds great.

As to identifying :
Try mailing Bill (or his wife). They are very helpful, and are probably able to tell you exactly what to look for...

I ordered a L-500C and an XL for my C1-classic. They should be getting here anytime now. When they come in I'll post some specifics about the pups before installing them, maybe that will help or you can try emailing Becky Lawrence at becky@billlawrence.com maybe she'll answer. I've sent her emails before and she has never answered.
