latest fiendish miking experiment

Four mikes, one acoustic guitar:

Oktava MC012 over my right shoulder
MC012 dangled over the 9th fret, 8-10" up, pointing straight down
ADK A51TC about 20" in front of the soundboard, pointing back toward the soundhole
Neumann KM184 18" from the body/neck joint, angled back toward the soundhole

Oktavas -> mAudio DMP3 solid state preamp
Neumann and ADK -> ADesigns MP2 tube pre

This gave me a very rich and interesting load of sonic data to play with. The question is: how to use it?

Here's the first attempt at a coherent mix:

Be forewarned, it's a 12-minute suite and a 12 mb download. This is a 128-bit MP3, inferior to a 192, but the file size was out of control with a 192.

I'd be very curious to know what y'all think of the mix (and heck, the tune too). What I did here was:

Neumann panned 30 degrees L
ADK 30 degrees R
Oktava fretboard mike 20 degrees R
Oktava overheard dead center

Levels were adjusted to balance left and right. Slight reverb, light noise reduction, a stereo expander...done. I am not at all sure this is the optimal way the mix it - it's just what seemed to work best, perhaps b/c it roughly mirrors the physical position of the mikes in relation to the player. Any thoughts? Tips? Suggestions on other ways to think about the mix? The permutations get overwhelming....

TIA,
Edward
