Hi everybody! I really need an advice from Korg pro's ...
Recently I've bought Korg i-3 keyboard and have a problem with playing MIDI files from floppy disk.
Before I buy it I tried to play MIDI from my own floppy on the same keyboard that was displayed in Guitar Center and it really played. But after I bought it (from other source) I cannot play the same MIDI file from the same floppy disk. It displays an error message: "Cannot read source..." or something like that. Demo floppy, coming with the keyboard, works fine, so I know for sure that floppy drive by itself is in working condition.
I know, I know... you guys probably are going to remind me that floppy drive for i-3 is formatted at 720kB and I am trying to playback floppy formatted at 1.44MG. But the same floppy (formatted at 1.44) really played on keyboard (formatted at 720) in the store.
Does anybody have any idea how to solve that problem? Is it possible to replace just floppy drive in i-3 with a new one for 1.44? Or I really need to go back to 80-s and use fusty floppies for 720kB?
Thanks in advance.
Sorry if it's too complicated, I hope you will catch the idea.
