Kontakt 5 files

Greetings,

I'm pretty new to this world and I'm enjoying the ride on the learning curve. Perhaps this is a simple question:

What's the difference between the files, "Kontakt 5 16out.dll", "Kontakt 5 8out.dll", and "Kontakt 5.dll"? These are found in, for example, the "VSTPlugins 64 bit" folder. The first two are small and just seem to point to the last one.

In your DAW you can choose different versions of Kontakt. The numbers refer to how many output channels you can have with that version, I guess this is to reduce processing overhead.
