Are all lead-position stock strat pickups hotter than the middle and rhythm? Are they all the same pickup just in different positions?
THe reason I ask is because I've had the stock lead position 62 RI (~1988-ish) pickup in the middle position of my jambolin for a long time. I have been thinking of putting my strat back to stock, but don't want to disrupt the jambolin's tone. Is ther anything special about the lead pickup from that era of the re-issues?
