Keyboard wont fit desk

Hey again ... I purchased a Yamaha mm6 and the sliding drawer on my desk wont fit it . Question will one of these smaller midi controllers link to it? I see many have an interface will that be a problem with connecting to my soon to arrive Cubase 8 Pro software? I am starting from scratch and as a gtr player I really draw a blank at the keyboards midi thing any help would be great! I would like to be able to use the sliding drawer and a smaller controller? Trigger? so I wont have to leave the desk. Thanks again to all who help ..I very very much appreciate all the help I've recd so far. -Steve

Depends on the 'smaller midi controller'! It will need MIDI OUT (at least) connection. Why not just use a stand for the Yammie?

I am not sure of the drawer you are using, I assume built into the desk?

I bought one that attaches to the working surface and slides out, down and up. I have a PC100 and it hangs about 2 inches left and right, but solid enough to play on and when I am done, I lower it and slide it out of the way.
