Keyboard to mixer

Theres a 1/4inch rca out on the back of my keyboard (can be used for headphones) but in logic, if i connect that to a mixer with built in preamps even though they are in ports dont they still put out power? meaning it would short circuit? i dont know if the RCA ins put out anything or not

Go from the 1/4" out to the LINE INPUT of the mixer. You shouldn't have any problems, if I understand your question correctly.
