KAM Mics?

DrumRookie

"That" kid.
Has anyone tried these? I saw a http://www.ebay.com/itm/320851378805?_trksid=p5197.c0.m619#ht_900wt_192 and it looks pretty tight. I don't know how it sounds (the samples on their website sounds like they miced a entry level kick with 20 towels shoved in it). Has anyone had experience with them? I'm looking for some decent tom mics too. I was also thinking of changing out the Nady SP1's I have and getting http://www.ebay.com/itm/KAM-ST2-SNARE-TOM-CABINET-MIC-/220933803518?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3370ae4dfe#ht_548wt_858 for the snare and the toms.

I know, definitely not a Audix D6 or anything here, but I'm just looking at my options.
Of course, if I was to get one of these I would be upgrading a few months later. But first things first with all these other expenses that take me away from my passions. :drunk:

*flashes the "moresound" signal*

He posted a thread a while back that really sparked my interest in KAM, I had never heard of them until then. Haven't had the chance to pick any for myself, but from what it seems they seem to be little gems in the budget mic world.

Cool, I'll definitely look into picking some of these up! They fit my budget nicely, and they look very straightforward.
Thanks moresound and Jeff! :D
I'll let you know how it goes and maybe some sound samples to follow ;)

Check out THESE guys as well!

Yeah, those are pretty sweet! A few months ago I was actually looking at those. I almost went for them, but I went for the Behringer C-2's instead. One day I think I'll try those bad boys out though one day (perfect for recording country music IMO ;) if you catch my drift).
