Why do people call hi-fi speakers monitors? These are not studio monitors.
However they may be good sounding Hi-Fi (Stereo) speakers and if you like the sound of them get them, but they are not main studio monitors.
When I started my first studio I had a pair of Hi-Fi speakers that I know well set up along side my old Yamaha NS10's (we are talking the 1990's here) so I could check the sound of the mix on some hi-fi speakers. However all the critical listening was on the NS10's. By the way my NS10's are still set up in my studio today along side my Auratone (horror-tone) 5C's, but these are not my main monitors.
I didn't realize they were in fact hi-fi speakers, not monitors. I am new to this field. That's why I'm here, that's why I'm asking questions about things I find, to learn from the wise ones, like yourself!
