Just bought a midi keyboard

I connected it to my computer through a USB to USB lead. I installed everything and when i use it in cubase it shows on cubase that it is getting a signal but i dont get any sound from it, even if i record a pattern and play it back theres still no sound. I tried it with the program that came with the keyboard and the same thing happened.

Im guessing its something to do with m sound card settings, but what should i look at or alter? Thanks.

I'm not a Cubase expert, and you've probably already tried this, but from memory I think that you need to make sure that the MIDI out setting for the track is also aimed at the USB port in order for the MIDI data to be sent out of the PC. Does that make sense?
