The AQ-65 auto-locator has most of the remote functionality minus on-board pitch control and are super rare to find on Ebay or anywhere else for that matter!
I was fortunate to have one included in the purchase of my MS-16 which is a very similar deck to the ATR60-16.
Having a 10 point auto-locator is more useful as you can set up multiple cue points on a song and go back to them easily for rehearsal and punch in operations.

I saw the autolocator for $785 once.... Its super duper hard to find it at reasonable price. I saw a MS-16 at a Guitar Center with the AQ-65C but they were unwilling to separate the remote from the recorder. The autolocator would be really nice when working with vocal overdubs. I did find a M600 mixer that Im trying to get my hands on by the end of the year. Its 32 channel with 24 loaded which will be nice because I can mount my RNC VRT's in the blanks
