Joe Meek MQ3

Hello everyone.

Wondering about your thoughts on this product.

I need it for vocals and acoustic guitar through the mic, and bass and electric guitar clean. Will this suit my needs? I can not afford anything more expensive.

I think it is going to suit your needs just fine. I've never heard a bad word about it. I own a Joemeek VC6Q, its bigger brother (same sound, more flexible) and it's a great toy.

I have 2 VC3Q's and they do really nice on all of the applications you mentioned.....especially nice on vocals......

A great product, kind of a "sm57" in the world of voice channels IMHO.
Also handy for live work too since it's so portable and has phantom power.

sorry to pop out of nowhere. but, do you use the 3Q alone with any other outboard gear? if so, how do you go about hooking them up?

The MQ3 has both a 1/4" and XLR input.

As I have said in the other threads, I ended up going with the JoeMeek MQ1.
