Just because of JBL's rep, I picked up a pair of refurb cherry finish JBL Northridge E80 speakers for $220, including shipping, from the Harman ebay store.

yeah, JBL is an honest company imo.
they pffer plots and graphs, which aren't always pretty, but probably true.
the data varys with the different models for different applications and there's also extra info. on many of their models.
many companys don't post or care to post the tech info., they just say theirs are the best for every application which is bs.
i've heard some HR mixes on thsoe JBL's that sounded like store bought CD's.
but i think this was more skill than speakers, but it was the JBL 4xxx series.
