Hello all,

I haven't posted here in awhile but over the weekend I did a recording session for a local jazz trio. They wanted something to hand out to demonstrate their music but like all of us, want to get it done for as little as possible.

Here's 4 songs, recorded in about 3 hours....with an additional 6+ hours of mixing. I know some of the performances are not perfect but it was a sunday afternoon and the bass player had plans...lol

The vocalist did come back tuesday night and retracked her vocals..just thought i'd mention that.

thanks for your future comments!

Hey Hey!!!

Some Jazz...I gravitate towards these threads.

Checked out the classic "Fly Me To The Moon".

Very nice arrangement, and a most excellent live recording.

What unit did you record this into? VERY clean recording.

Musicians sounded perfect.

My only nit?
The lead vocalist uses the vibrato in her voice a bit too much.
Other than that, she is right on, and a very good singer.

I gotta check out the other tunes you have posted now...
This one got me pumped up.

Great work!

I've listented to fly me to the moon and nice work if yo can get it...

excellent stuff!

Fantstic performances.. (I like the vibrato on the vox.. but her vowels are a little spread at times.. but that's not your issue!)

I wouldn't mind a little more bass... but it's probably just me...

I really like a good dose of cool jazz...

Thanks everyone for your comments....

VI: I tracked into my MOTU 2408......6 channels were thru my behringer 2442 and the standup bass and the vocal were tracked thru a Presonus MP20 and an RNC comp, then into the MOTU.

I used a Rode NTK on the vox, the piano was direct in as was the bass..

The drums were done using the Nady 7 piece drum mic set I bought off of SCURGE from recordingproject....

everyone except the vocalist was setup in my garage.....

Hey Arvo, now I have time for that collab we talked about....

Thanks again and Blessings!
