Is this Demag usable?

Before diving into a $70 Han D Mag, I waited to see what one of my buddies could rustle up for me in the free category; He knew someone who used to record to tape but doesn't anymore, and they had a demagnetizer they didn't need for anything anymore. I have a Tascam 388 that I was hoping to effectively demagnetize- would this do the trick? It reads as follows:

Audiotex Head Demag
Recording Head Demagnetizer
117 V AC 60 Hz, 40 Watts
Intermittent Duty
1 Min On 5 Min Off

I attached a picture.

Is that enough info for anyone to know if its powerful enough for a 388?

I got a Han-D-Mag for Christmas and was blown away at how good this thing works. I have read nothing but good things about this it. Now I can demag my reels, cassette decks, and VCR. The VCR has needed demaged for a long time now so I cleaned and demaged yesterday and it was the diffrence between night and day, no ugly lines on the screen. This is the demag of choice for studios that are smart enough to have analog machines.

That's cool, I know it does a great job, but I have this one here for free. Just trying to figure out if it's going to work as well on my machine as a Han D Mag would.
