Hey all, I was just wondering if a pair of Peavey SP2's (older models that have 150 Watts peak @ 8 ohms) for $200 is a good deal. Apparently they are 1/4 inch and not XLR inputs and outputs, and they're probably 20 years old.
My band and I are looking to start gigging soon, so we need a starter PA set. I also need advice on what kind of power amp I'm going to need to power these speakers (ratings).
Any other advice on what to get for a starter set is welcome. Our desired budget is about $400 and we are willing to get used stuff (basically anything that works decently). To help you out, I can tell you what I have currently.
Yamaha MG12/4 mixer
M-audio DMP3 preamp
Audix om-3 mic
2 XLR cables...
