Is there anything else I can do to further improve my amp/cab modeling setup?

...while keeping things FREE of course. I use Reaper and right now, my FX chain for amp/cab modeling is:

Le456 amp modeler ---> LeCab cab modeler

Inside LeCab, I have the 4x12 Mesa Boogie cab impluse from Line6Pod loaded.

Any other ideas to improve this setup? I have no interest in trying out the demo versions of Revalver or Amplitube and other similar programs BTW.

The only reason I'm asking is that I had no idea I could use impulses to futher improve my sound until someone mentioned it and I tried it out. I'm just trying to cover my bases and make sure I'm not missing out on anything else.

The best thing you can do to improve your sound is not be a cheap bastard. Buy some good legit shit. Free does not = good.
 
Try waves GTR software. If you already have a DI box then you don't need the interface to go with it. It also works for bass as well. It also has a built in tuner so you can always check your tuning with a single click of the mouse.
