Is the DMP3 a better preamp than the mbox2?

never used the mbox before but i own a dmp3 and i love it, unbeatable in its price range IMO, very clear pre, very little sound coloration

I prefer the dmp3 over my 003 rack pres. I'm not sure if theyre the same in the mbox but I feel that the dmp3 is a cleaner more pleasant representation of the audio that passes through it. The 003 Rack pre's are very boring to me and see to take something out from my audio (ie.lifeless) but I can't really put a finger on it.
Warning: Words like "better" are taboo in audio. Your better is different than somebody else and preferences change from application to application. So just be careful with using "better","best"etc..
