Is my computer good enough?

howdy
i'm wanting to record onto my computer and was wondering if it was good enough. its got a 120GB hard drive, 512 MB RAM, 2.4 ghz pentium 4, and a soundblaster card (i think). i'm not looking for like pro quality audio, just decent stuff.

it's better than my computer so it will work. other than that sinky sound card you have a nice recording machine to work with

Your computer is fine, your soundcard may be fine too, what instruments are trying to record? Also, you will need software.

Your PC is cool. I would SERIOUSLY consider dropping another $150 and get an M-Audio Audiophile card, or maybe a MIA card by Echo. Try not to make your soundcard the weak link in your system, especially if you want to record.
