Is it worth it? UREI 809's for cheap.

A guy in my hometown is selling a pair of UREI 809's, not sure what year (maybe early 90's) and he only wants $50 for the pair. Buttt they need the rubber around the cone redone. Would it be worth it to get 'em, do that, then sell them for more? I don't have room to keep them at my studio....nor do I have the ability to build a soffit mount in my wall to throw them in.

Any advice? If someone else is really interested, I can throw you the link to check them out.
 
from what i understand, it's usually $100-150 per speaker to have a surround replaced...at least for most speakers

$50 in for the monitors, plus $300 for repair...throw in another $100 for shipping or whatever, and you're looking at almost $500 in - i personally wouldn't bother unless you're fairly confident that they'd fetch $700-800 in their repaired condition
