Please no comments about the gear. We all do the best with what we got and I don't got a lot.

Could I run a line out from my Crate DX 212, through a Boss GP 20 Amp Factory and then use the GP 20 as a direct box? I only want to use the GP 20 as a cabinet emulator because all the effects are onboard the amp. Is there anything I need to know about impedance matching or something I may be overlooking?

Well ... if it is, indeed, a line-level output from your Crate ... and you're looking to plug that in to an instrument-level input on your amp modeler ...

then there could be some impedence issues. Possibly.

Just to be on the safe side, you might want to try going from the line out of your amp head to a passive DI box in reverse, then to the instrument input on the Boss. You see, the idea is to bring the line level from your amp down to instrument level ... assuming your Boss has an instrument-level input, of course.
