Is an 85 meg ROM block good or bad

Lots of the sites listing the Motif's features are pushing the ROM blockage on this machine while lots of synth wiz friends are calling the Motif the 'ROM'pler of all times. I understand that a ROM block is essentially the OSC of the keyboard, but using samples. Is this good or bad ? I plan on doing drum and bass, and really abstract stuff. I do not plan on using this as my only board, but this will be the only board I have for about 2 months. I know this is a dumb question, but keep in mind I really haven't had time to read the manual and whatnot, you can re-route the ROM, right ? In other words, make your own sounds, OSC, modulation matrix's, etc ...
