Interesting find when comparing Tascam/Teac mixers

I’ve been spending the last 3 months or so researching teac and tascam mixers. I’ve collected the specifications of the following mixers 2A, 3, M-30, M-35) from various sites and manuals. I’m surprised to find that even though the M-30 was the “upgrade of the series 3 it has exactly the same frequency response. You don’t get a higher quality until you jump to the M-35. I’d be very curious to see the Specs of the series 5 and 5B (anyone?)
Here’s how they compare:

Series 2A
Freq response- 30 hz-20khz +_ 2db
Signal to noise ratio (one line input) greater than 62db WTD
Dist .1%

Series 3
Freq response- 30 hz-20khz +_ 2db
Signal to noise ratio (one line input) greater than 75db WTD, 70db UNWTD
Dist.3%

M-30
Freq response- 30 hz-20khz +_ 2db
Signal to noise ratio (one line input) greater than 75db WTD, 70db UNWTD
Dist less than. .1%

M-35
Freq response- 20 hz-30khz +_ 1db
Signal to noise ratio (one line input) greater than 80?db WTD, 68db UNWTD
Dist. Less than .05%

Now I aint no mathematician, and I’m not even sure how to read the signal to noise specs, maybe someone could help us out with that????
But the M-35 looks like the best sounding, and quietest mixer, which is no surprise but what I do find suprising is that even though the M-30 was an upgrade to the Series 3 in features it looks like the sound is pretty much the same.
Or am I missing something??
I have an M-30 on its way so I’ll compare to the others I have. But I did notice more clarity in the M-35 when I AB’d it against the Series 3.
