Integrated soundcard and recording

I know I have no business trying to record with an integrated sound card in the first place, but I'm just experimenting until I get enough money to buy a real soundcard. I'm running a guitar through a Eurotrack UB1202 mixer into my Intel integrated soundcard. I have the mixer going to the Line In on the SB, and I can hear the guitar being monitored, but when I attempt to record (Cool Edit Pro), it doesn't pick anything up on the recording. Anyone have any idea why this is? Thanks.

Do you have the LINE IN muted?????

START
>ALL PROGRAMS>ACCESSORIES>ENTERTAINMENT>VOLUME CONTROL>OPTIONS>PROPERTIES>RECORDING>OK>select LINE IN

Or RIGHT-CLICK the speaker icon (if you have it showing on the taskbar).

spin (also, from Chi-Town) :D

Check the Windows audio mixer. Make sure the Line-In for Recording is enabled (checked)

Also check the SBLive audio mixer that the Line-In is enabled.

Check your software sequencer/recorder program preferences that it is also set to record from your Line-In port.

*(Aint Windows wonderful???)
