Installation issues

Hi all,
I wonder if anyone has any ideas as to the most likely cause/s why I can't reinstall Cubase sl 3 into windows 7. I've been running le 1.09 since sl 3 failed to initialise following an attempt to download a free plugin some weeks ago [ serves me right! ] Now the pc just won't accept it.

I'd appreciate any help.

Maybe because the Cubase version is so old, maybe try to run it in compatibility mode or something. SL3. Yikes.

I did wonder about that, but thought how hacked off I'd be if, after upgrading, I was faced with the same problem. Think I'll try it on another pc first.
