Hi, today I did some recording with a friend on Pro Tracks (an offshoot of Cakewalk specifically linked with the Lexicon Omega system) and I took the wave files onto a CD and then imported them into Cakewalk Pro Audio 8. If I listen to them individually with say RealOne Player they are fine, but if I listen to them individually (or together) in Cakewalk there is this nasty distorted ringing sound in the high end. For some reason importing them causes this, and I was wondering what might be the reason? The only thing I could think of is conflicting bit rates or something like that? Could anyone help me here? Thanks!

Maybe they use different driver. I don't remember PA8, but I bet it only use MME driver for audio. Or maybe you need to increase latency level in Options-->audio?
