importing & converting with iTunes 8.0

Hey fellas,

ok so this one has been doing my head in. I used to LOVE using iTunes for converting my audio files, mostly .wav ---> mp3 but just generally using the converting functions, as well as being able to change the bit rate of mp3s, whether importing for my listening, or maybe something a bit rougher and smaller to email...


but I can't find that function in 8.0 :'(


It used to be prefs-->importing--->advanced but now I can't find it anymore!! Someone help me out please!!!

Did you try
right click the song -> "convert to mp3" ?

Go to preferences, click "General" (the first tab) and click the button marked "Import settings...". That setting affects all conversions.
