I agree. what materials do you use for the plastic? Do you preheat to get it to contour to the mold? Is you vacuum source a shop vac? Big vacuum hose looking port on the side.
 
Thanks guys. I should have built one of these a long time ago. I bought a 4' x 8' x 1/16" sheet of black ABS plastic from a local supplier. That's a lot of plastic for $21. My only other expense was a few dollars for some hardware. I like cheap experiment's with immediate success. I mount the plastic in the frame, and put it in a 375* oven for about 5 minutes, set it over the mold, and turn on my BMF 5hp shop vacuum, and it pulls it down around the form. You've got to work fast so the plastic doesn't cool before you form it. The learning curve wasn't a challenge.
