I got 2 sm57's 1 sm58
and some sennheiser 825, 835 and 845's.
I got and old tascam portastudio, I use as a 6 channel mixer-preamp, then I record it on the computer in 2 channels. right one for the kick and left one for the rest.
I tried almost every possible thing and I cannot get a rich kick tone. I want to have something sharp.
I have a bass drum with a mic hole in it. And I got another one without the hole. it sounds just about perfect inside the studio, but it's sounds like drumming cans on the outside monitors. I can't get it sound alive.
