I need a cheap mixer

I'm in dire need of a mixer, and with my first youngin on the way, I'd like to spend as little as possible. My two candidates are the Behringer (shh!) UB1204-PRO and the Soundcraft Spirit Notepad. Both are around the same price and both have similar feature sets. I'm leaning towards the Notepad, primarily based on the Soundcraft reputation...or perhaps it's because of Behringer's reputation. Anyway, anyone have any experience with either of these boards? Is there anything else in this price range I should be looking at?
