I have things like drum machines that I want to trigger with more than one source, like the sequencer and my v-drum kit, and my keyboard. So I'm always unplugging one thing to hook up another.
I see all kinds of things like midi patch bays and midi mergers, but this seems like way more than what I need. I can't find a MIDI splitter, so I assume it doesn't work to do this, but why can't I just use a midi splitter to merge the outputs of my sequencer, v-drums,. etc to the input of my drum machine. I don't want to play them all at once, just one at a time.
Anyone know how to do this, and if so, where to get the cabling I need.
