i have a tmd-1000...whats the best way to get sound to my computer

should i get a gina?sb live?usb?t/dif card.

i have a compaq amd k6-2 380,64 mb ram and 2 gigs free space.

am i gonna get problems installing pci cards with this system.ive heard that the event series requires a genuine intel chip set,does my comp have this?
 
First, do a search of the Tascam user's area. Then try posting there. You'll find a series of TM D1000 discussions.

As to which card, try the same thing. Learn the threads here, then do follow up searches on this database, and you will have quite a lot to work with. Next place to get questions answered is with the manufacturers; they usually have web sites and are accessible by e-mail. Then you will have more focus to your question.

Finally, no matter what card you decide on, plan to beef up your RAM. 128 MB runs much quicker on this stuff than 64.
