How To Use M Audio Quattro

Although I've been playing guitar for over 15 years, I just discovered home recording (even though I've recorded professionaly many times).

I went out and bought a brand new computer: AMD 2400 512 Ram Windows XP and downloaded Cubase SX DEMO. Also purchased the M Audio Quattro Interface.

The problem I'm having is configuring Cubase to work with the Quattro. I finally got it to get a signal in, but I cannot hear my playback. I'm using Direct Monitoring. Any help please is greatly appreciated!!!!!!!

Uncheck Direct Monitoring in the M-Audio Control Panel.

That should do it.

I opened the M Audio Control Panel but there's no section where I have this option. Even the Advanced Tab does not show it.
