I have a basic setup with XP, Cubase SX2, Reason 2.5 and Battery 2 on a 1.4ghz laptop.
I find Reason very quick and easy but I'm getting frustrated with the quality of the samples, especially piano and strings. I would like to upgrade my setup, using software only if possible.
Do I need to invest in a decent software sampler and some decent sample CDs? Or can I get some worthwhile downloads/CDs for Reason? I think I'm at the point where the quality of the sounds is a bit more important than just the cost.
I'd appreciate any comments.
