how to rack mount Fostex MR8?

Hi Guys,

I am planning on buying a Fostex MR8 (black one) soon, and I want to find out if there is a way to rack mount the MR8.

Is there an easy way to attach the MR8 to a rackmount shelf, or are there rack ears available for the MR8?

I want to put together a portable rack with an external preamp (like an M-Audio DMP3), the MR8, and a power distributer, all cabled up and ready to go. That way, I just take the rack to a gig, plug in power and mics, and start recording.

Please let me know if you have any suggestions - thanks in advance!
 
Well, the gig bag would work maybe to transport the MR-8 and other outboard gear, but as far as rack mounting it, you may have to fabricate something. There are no means to rack mount it. It's a plastic unit, so you'll have to be careful if you attach anything to it. Best bet would be to get a blank rack bottom and try to afix it to it somehow.
