How to get PC sound card in stereo to Alesis Studio 32

I assume I will have to use oen of my 4 AUX returns in order to get my PC hooked up to my Alesis Studio 32 (in stereo). In that case, I need two 1/4" cables to come in for L and R on my alesis studio 32. Well. I haven't seen a cable with a male 1/8" on one end and two male 1/4" (for L and R on the other). So I assume I have to buy something like this:

and something like this:

in order for me to hook my computer up to my studio 32? Seems like an awful lot of money and conversions for such a simple task -- so I thought I'd ask in the newbie forum.

*note* the studio 32 has no RCA inputs, only 1/4"

I'm not familiar with your Alesis, but if you have a spare buss to route through you could use a stereo pair of line ins. Not sure how connecting to the returns will help you hear your stuff. It's dead easy to get a cable with a stereo jack on one end and two mono jacks on the other ... if they're the wrong size then adaptors only cost about 50pence anyway.

Radio Shack has 1/8" stereo to 2 1/4" male mono plugs.
NOTE: You want a Stereo splitter, not a common Y-cable. There is a difference.

I've got one on my setup. Go to the mall.

ok thanks.. i was thinking there had to be that kind of cable, but musiciansfriend didn't carry it so i began to wonder.

i'll check radio shack today. thanks again.
