I have Cubase 4 with a Presonus Firestudio interface. Now, when I would first listen to my song, it was fine. Now i'll get static during playback sometimes. I dont know if it has something to do with how long Its been on or what. Can someone please help me out. Is it the cables? I though it was the cables, but when I put my earphones in and turn the monitors off, i would still get static.
Also, in Cubase, once in a while(actually, I just got Cubase like 4 days ago and its happened enough) just doing something like listening to playback or browsing my tracks, a loud static interface would occur and nothing would be playing. I'd turn the mute on but once i unmute, it's still happening. The only way it fixes is if i close my project and Cubase.
Can someone please talk to me?
Mind you, Im just getting started in the CPU based recording.
