How to draw a pitch modulation curve in Cubase SX?

I want to draw a MIDI controller curve that will control the pitch of my VST sampler in Cubase SX 3.

Is it possible to do this? Or is it only possible to do this inside of the sampler? I'm trying to draw the curve in CUBASE, and have it control the pitch of the sampler.

do you know how to open up all the automation stuff in the arrange page?

cos on the midi channel you can only automate audio functions

on the actual instrument channel you can automate some functions of the instrument, have a look there

Open the midi track and look at the bottom where it says velocity (the default controller lane) from the pull down menu (the little carrot next to it) choose pitchbend. Now you can draw it in just like velocity

altitude, I can find the velocity shift controller lane, but when I try to change it by clicking on the carrot, there is not pitchbend option to select.

Here's a pic:

The first one is of the selectable types of MIDI parameter control (click on the pic itself to enlarge it, so that you can read the text)

The second pic is of the options that come up with I click the "More" button from the first picture.

None of these options are "Pitch" or "Pitch Bend."

Am I looking in the right place?
