How should I do my home studio?

Ok i got this room and I'm wonderin what should I do to get the best sound.....all i wanna do is record vocals

What should I do?
 
Start collecting egg shell cartons. Or put carpet on the walls. Board up the window...I'm not too sure.
 
never use egg cartons, check out the studio building and display forum on this site
 
Egg Cartons

I've used egg cartons before.. They work for higher frequencies only.

Look up:

Bass Traps - Panel, Helmholtz, Slot
Sound Proofing
Acoustics
 
Use compressed fiberglass to help with high end and mid range problems. The most common one is owens corning 703 or 705. You will need to find insulation contractor to help you find some but its only about 5 buck for a 2x4 sheet.
