Hello everyone, I am using a mbox, i just wanted to know where in protools do you have anything where you can set the levels of what is coming in, where you can see a reading of -10db, -18db, or whatever you want the setting to be?

I know you can see that meter that goes from green to yellow to red of what is coming in, but there are no numbers or setting that i can find that tell you what you are recording at.

Anyone know?

Thanks

you can't. I wish they would add them.
What I do is put a plugin that has a numbered meter on that track...or on the master fader. Like an EQ plugin or a metering plugin made for just this purpose.

Also, you should download Signal Tools if it's not already with your PT version. This has very flexible metering with it.

by right clicking (or ctrl click on a mac) on the volume display you can get it to display peak readings...

tho that doesn't really help all that much..
