I need to know how i can record two different things with two different microphones simultaneously on cubase.

What hardware do i need to buy?

Will a usb audio interface be able to do this or do i need more?

Thank you
Alex :):confused::cool:

A USB interface will do (as long as it's 2 or more channels). Other popular options include Firewire and PCI.

As for which brand or model, you'll have to ask around and do your research. Depends a lot on your setup, your goals, and of course your budget.

Personally I use a Presonus Firebox (Firewire). Average cost is about 300bucks and so far has been a very reliable unit with a good sound.

I use a Firestudio (700) and a digimax FS (600) together for 16 simultaneous inputs, and it works splendidly. It really just depends on what you want, and how much you're willing to spend to get it. Hope to have helped,

I just want about 6 simultaneous tracks. Is there anything cheaper?

I'm very much a novice.

How does it all connect to your computer?

Cheers

You can get an M-Audio Delta 1010LT for about 200... It's pci and has about 8 inputs (2 XLR and 6 rca inputs).
