How do i record from POD XT Live to Cubase?

i am a begginer, please please please could you give me some sort of instructions of how i go about recording my guitar through pod xt live to cubase via usb, it would be much appreciated.

Right, do you have your ASIO driver setup? First, install Line 6 Monkey, from their website. Run it, and make sure everything is up to date.

Next, you need to setup the ASIO driver. To do this, go to Devices -> Device Setup. There is an option called VST Audiobay. Click it, and select ASIO PodXT from the drop down. Now your POD is setup to record via USB...

Im not 100% sure that this is the right way, but it works for me....

Thank you, it has recognized that its there, and is recording sound but i cannot hear anything. Do you know what i can do?

You need to have a cable between your output of the PODXT to the Line-In of your soundcard. That way you can monitor the PODXT and any other MIDI etc at the same time.

Its a really stupid way of doing it, i cant think why Line6 has done this
