hooking up a compressor to a Fender PA Mixer/Amp

Hey there, I'm trying to sell my 3630 to a guy that wants to hook it up to a Fender Mixer/Amp with out inserts. He wants to run a battery powered mic tru it and a acoustic gtr with an active (battery powerd) pickup. Then into the PA head. Anyone know if this will work, or is there some other way to hook it up. He'll buy the compressor if he can use the thing. And no, he dosn't have any kind of mic pre. (know of any cheap way around this?)
