ok, my question is...

What components (equipment wise) are needed to record decent or good music.

im looking to record some like local rap/hiphop underground like type music with vocals

i have a computer (mac mini & dell)

i have recording software

i have a cheap $20.00 mic

i have a yamaha djx midi keyboard

i want to get a another/better Synth

if you reply with an answer suggesting different digital/analog gear, please tell me how your wiring/connection setuo would be...e.g. synth midi out to computer midi in port...etc or master synth output to slave synth input

I explained to yuo the other day that this forum had to do with carpentry - the physicial construction of the studio building - and that you should post these questions in the newbies forum - you thanked me - and posted there - and now you are back here......

Well - between then and now - nothing has changed - that is still the place to ask these questions.
