Howdy gang. As I was dusting and cleaning my lovely Tascam 134b the other day I decided it was time (before it's too late) to stock up on some High Bias cassettes. They're starting to get a bit harder to find (especially the 60 minutes or less variety). What is the general consensus on quality from various manufacturers? I've usually had good luck with TDK. I've had "hit and miss" luck with that generic high bias stuff you can still buy at Musician's Friend. I came across some seller recently who had alot of bulk BASF tapes for sale. I am not familiar with that brand. Any thoughts from cassette enthusiasts? Cheers.

Well, BASF was a major manufacturer of pro recording tape so they know what they're doing. I was a TDK/Maxell guy so my knowledge of consumer grade BASF tape is minimal, but I vaguely recall it was at least okay.
