I'm new here and loving the site. I can see me spending hours on here.

Just a quick question, has anyone had any experience with Fishman rare earth blend pickups. It has a gooseneck mic and magnetic pickup built into 1. I use it to play percussive acoustic tunes.

My problem is i am on my 2nd one as the gooseneck mic broke on the last one. It has a metal sleeve which bends as a gooseneck covered by rubber but it seems to crack and break the connection.

My 2nd one is now crackling at times as the metal is breaking again. I didn't even put this one in my guitar nor have i been rough with it. Has anyone else experienced this and knows how to fix it as Fishman say they can't.

mine broke too, alas, damn, oh well, I just threw a Takamine triax into my 160 E and run it in stereo with the p 90, schaweeeeet!

Thanks for the reply, if im not mistaken there both magnetic pickups, i'd need to a condenser in mine to pickup the beats but sounds like a nice set up.
