First off, I'd like to introduce myself, I'm Tony.

Im pretty much a newbie at this and just bought a Boss BR-900CD. I havent gotten it yet, but I want to get into more professional sounding recording than what ive worked with. This will be my first time using a stand alone recorder. So my first question is, what mic would be best suited for this machine for mainly singing and some screaming? Also what advice does anyone have for starting out using multitracks and maybe even this particular model.

1) It should be illegal to not own a Shure SM7b.
1b) EV RE20 would be high on a short list of wonderful vocal mics also.
1c) You could do worse than a Cascade Fat Head also (although it's a ribbon - Not something you want to smack around).

2) HEADROOM. Plenty of it. It's a good thing.
