Help?

So I've been singing properly (Well, trying to) for almost a year now, and basically, I don't know if I can sing. I know some people that think I have a terrible voice, and some people that love my voice. I'm not sure what I think overall, but I can hear plenty of problems with it.

Here are a few songs I've done (of varying quality):

New York - Davy Vain cover

Wasting Love - Iron Maiden cover

Shouldn't Cry - Vain cover

At this point I'm thinking I need practise to make it more consistant (Wasting love is the oldest, New York is the newest, I think I've slipped), but are there any glaringly obvious things that I'm missing?

Thanks (And sorry :p)

Let me guess - your friends and family love your voice and strangers don`t like your voice.

Surprised me - usually it's the family that says nice things regardless...
On the positive side you have a pretty high range - which is needded for a lot of songs on the radio. It's also pretty loud and strong which is also a good thing.
On the negative side it's pitchy in spots, but the main complaint would be it sounds very nasally. Maybe google nasal voice and see what recommendations there are out there to try and reduce that.
