I got a dell with the soundmax intergrated sound card n im tryin to build a studio but when i plug in a rugular mic it has alot of back ground noise even when there isnt no noise n i want to no if i buy a studio mic will the sound still b there? and wat do i need to upgrade

If you're plugging a mic into the "mic"input,you will get nothing but shit!Put the mic thru a pre amp of some sort,then thru the "line" input,if you have one.If you don't,you'll need to get a soundcard that does!
The mic input is useless!

i ordered a samson mixer with a builtin mic preamp is that good enough for the quiet noise i want or i gotta change the sound card oh yea wats the line..the 1 with the sound goin in or out
